Dadbods Gaming is run by volunteers: dads with day jobs, families and a shared belief that gaming should be fun and drama-free. Here's who keeps the Discord running, ranked by role.
The two who started it all.
Co-founded DadBods Gaming with Wodin in April 2017, starting with a small Discord server and a simple idea: a calm, grown-up place for gaming dads, away from toxic lobbies. Together they built the first website. He oversees the whole community, hosts the DBG podcast, and is a World of Warcraft veteran who now spends his time in Warzone.
Co-founded DBG with Redbeardz and was the first real member to join. Posted the Reddit thread that brought in the first big wave of dads in 2017, helped build the original website, and is the server's self-proclaimed meme master. Loves big strategy games like Total War and a long RPG.
The original group who built DBG from a handful of friends into a worldwide community. All are admins.
One of the first members, from back when DBG was a handful of friends playing PUBG. A long-time WoW and RuneScape player, and the star of a legendary arcade story from DreamHack Dallas. Co-host of the DBG podcast since episode 17.
A founding member from the early PUBG days and one of the first ten people in the server. Ran the DBG book club, where members voted on a monthly pick (often an audiobook) and talked it over afterwards. Takes his handle from a favourite sitcom; plays Warzone and a little WoW Classic.
Joined in the first wave and spent his early days recruiting dads on Reddit. Started the Madden League before handing it to Ric, is a fixture of the food channel, and is the man who dreamed up the chicken-nugget eating challenge. His handle is a classic late-night sketch character.
Community leaders with admin powers who run the Discord, events and programs.
Handles graphic design and social media for DBG and streams on Twitch as It's Rowdy Rooster. Hosted many of the podcast's later episodes, started the kids' Pen Pal program, and keeps the website and its hosting running. Loves city-builders, simulation games and a good silly co-op.
The events coordinator. Plans the community game nights and Call of Duty tournaments, keeps the scoreboards, and is the staff member members mention most. Joined after the first wave but quickly became one of the most active voices, and has a legendary wings-eating performance to his name.
Joined in December 2017 and is one of the community's biggest personalities. Runs the weekly movie nights and helped organise DBG's first charity stream. A long-time MMO player (EverQuest, WoW) whose handle is a typo he has kept for about twenty years.
The man behind the Madden League. Found DBG through a Madden recruiting post in 2018, took the league over from DavePumpkins, and grew it into two leagues with a trade committee and a waiting list. Believes building a community matters more than winning a title. A Hearthstone veteran too.
A member since August 2017, invited by a Reddit message from DavePumpkins. A hockey fan and the first Canadian guest on the podcast. Was an officer in the retired WoW Classic guild and has brought friends into DBG along the way.
Keeping the Discord friendly, fair and drama-free.
Joined in August 2017 as one of the first thirty members. Led the DBG WoW Classic guild on Rattlegore (now retired), which grew from a handful of players into hundreds of members, many of them women and non-dads. A fly-fishing fan who called himself the guild's “facilitator in chief”.
A Twitch streamer who looks after DBG's Twitch team and helps with marketing. Redbeardz first met him as a silent random teammate in a PUBG match who quietly rode in the back of the car, and invited him straight into the Discord. Has since brought other members in from his stream.
Keeps the peace as a moderator and co-runs Yard Madden, DBG's Madden league, with Cpezo. Full bio coming soon.
